Bookhou are John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj. Together, they create an assortment of pieces ranging from handmade bags, to paper goods (calendars, notebooks), to home textiles (tea towels, and wooden goods) – all using natural materials. Each bag is designed, hand printed, and sewn in their Toronto studio. We’ve got a few new pieces of theirs in stock, at both our Kensington and Parkdale locations.

New Uppercase magazine!

Issue 23 of Uppercase Magazine has hit our shelves and what an issue it is, jam packed with some of our favourites!


Our good friends Bookhou have a great 4 page spread giving us an insight into their home and studio life.

You can find Montreal local Raymond Biesinger’s prints for sale at our Kensington and Parkdale stores and on page 42, with an article about his creative process.

July’s Pedestrian Sunday Guest Vendors!

We are very happy to announce that for July’s Pedestrian Sunday (happening on the 27th) our friends and fellow Toronto locals Crown Flora Studio and Bookhou will be joining us here at Kid Icarus HQ!

From 12:00 – 5:30 Bookhou and Crown Flora will be outside our store selling their beautiful handmade wares so make sure you pop down to say Hi! We ofcourse will be open 11:00 – 6:00.
