PEDESTRIAN SUNDAY

Addelle McCauley is a Toronto based artist and screen printer. Her work explores the the relationships between corporeality and transcendental states of mind through the themes of ritual and ceremony.

Jackie Lee is a printmaker who specializes in screen printing and independent publications. As well as enamel pins and patches and other fun printed goodies. She also runs extremely fun inclusive/free/diy community arts newspaper called OCCASIONAL DISPATCH

CraftyPawws is a small DIY art works shop with a unique collection of various prints, patches, embroideries and upcycled apparel created by Lauren Eliza Boyko, a small multidisciplinary, freelance artist and musician.

Vicky To, Alexandra Tustin, and Sidney Nielsen will be out in front of
Kid Icarus selling their beautiful merch!

Sidney Nielsen is a Toronto based illustrator and screen printer.
A lover of colour her pieces reflect this. Come see her works of curiosity and whimsy.

Vicky To is a Toronto based artist that specializes in Plastic Fabrication, Printmaking, and Illustration. She’s often hidden away in a shop or studio working away on a new experiment to
combine the three specialities together.

Alexandra Tustin is a freelance illustrator & designer whose work explores analogue media, texture, and digital synthesis. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, she recently graduated with a Bachelor of Design, focused in Illustration, from OCAD University.

Guest artists for July are Crafty Pawws, and Lauren Connell-Whitney.

CraftyPawws is a small DIY art works shop with a unique collection of various prints, patches, embroideries and upcycled apparel created by Lauren Eliza Boyko, a multidisciplinary, freelance artist and musician.

Lauren Connell-Whitney Grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to Canada when she was 14. She studied in New York City’s Parsons School of Design.
Always looking for adventure she never stayed in one place for too long
but eventually returned to Toronto.

Pedestrian Sunday 2019

This Years second Pedestrian Sunday is fast approaching.
For those who don’t know every last Sunday of every month Kensington Market rallys together to support local businesses!
The area is teaming with local art, food vendors and performances!
Come join Kid Icarus Sunday June 30th to see our guest feature artist
Sparkle Collective and Ellingwood Soap Company.
Drop by anytime between 12pm – 5:30pm for some fanatics local merch.

Sparkle Collective is based in Toronto, Canada.
Fuelled by donuts, and inspired by cats.
Add to your pin/patch collection!

Ellingwood Soap Company is a run by Micheal & Anna, a husband
and wife team out of Hamilton ON, that make all natural soap,
candles and body care products.
Their merchandise can be found in shops all over Canada.
All of their products have natural ingredients which makes
it perfect for those with delicate skin!

I WAS BORN IN 1998 WITH DOWN SYNDROME.
I LOVE TO PAINT, DANCE, SING AND ACT.
MY LIFE IS WONDERFUL, FILLED WITH MANY FAMILY
AND FRIENDS WHOM I LOVE DEARLY, AND WHO LOVE ME.
I AM A VERY ACTIVE PARTICIPANT AND VOLUNTEER WITH

Pedestrian Sunday Sept 30th!

The last Pedestrian Sunday of 2019!
Stop by this Sunday to support local makers with our special guest artists
Cabin Journal, Allison + Cam, & Moonbeam Co.

They will be at our shop located at 205 Augusta Ave from 12pm – 5:30pm.

Cabin is based out of the heart of downtown Toronto,
wedged between (what was) the Fashion District and China Town.
Cabin, the stationery company, began in the winter of 2016, debuting risograph cards,
art prints and illustrated tea towels at Toronto’s holiday City of Craft show.

Allison + Cam create things in the spirit of colour & fun.
They live & work together in Toronto, Canada.
Primary their work is illustration & animation made collaboratively,
with an increasing interest in installation work using mixed media like acrylic, wood, & found objects.

Moonbeam Co. is a painted porcelain, pins, and handmade
ceramics company working out of Toronto ON.

Jenny Chen is an artist and arts administrator currently living in Mississauga.
Majoring in Drawing and Painting, Chen graduated from OCAD University two years ago.
Since graduation, she has been practicing on a part-time basis and exhibited in selected group exhibitions.
She is also engaged in the local arts community with her role as gallery coordinator at Neilson Park Creative Centre
