Bookhou

Bookhou are John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj. Together, they create an assortment of pieces ranging from handmade bags, to paper goods (calendars, notebooks), to home textiles (tea towels, and wooden goods) – all using natural materials. Each bag is designed, hand printed, and sewn in their Toronto studio. We’ve got a few new pieces of theirs in stock, at both our Kensington and Parkdale locations.

2012 Handprinted Art Calendar

2012 Handprinted Art Calendar

12 artists contributed to this calendar, each choosing one month to illustrate, and only two colours to work with. There are no guidelines on how the information is presented, nor the layout; the artist has full control. The entire calendar is then screen printed by hand from the front cover, right through to the backing. The calendar is printed on an FSC approved 100 lb cover stock paper. The inks are a water-based non toxic acrylic. The edition is limited to 125 prints and sells for $80.
