We are absolutely thrilled that we had the opportunity to work with Magic Pony; bringing a stunning print by Toshio Saeki to Canada for the first time.

These prints will be featured at Narwhal Contemporary Gallery, where all 100 prints in the edition will be sold.

This series of rare limited edition prints is titled Ureshidaruma, and features one of the most iconic images from Toshio Saekis’ oeuvre. Within this print we witness the Japanese schoolgirl – dreamlike, clutching closely a giant tilting Daruma. Originally created in the 1970’s, Saeki redrew & revamped the colour palette specifically for this exclusive silkscreen’d limited edition. This print will be one of the very few Saeki prints available to purchase outside of Asia.

Unfortunately we will not have any of these prints available for purchase in our Kensington shop. We do, however, have some pretty neat behind the scenes shots of the print in various stages of production.
