Retail Associate
We are looking for a polite person with a friendly personality, good communication skills and some knowledge or experience in the maker, art, or craft scene.
As a retail sales associate you will need to quickly learn the specifics of stocked items in store, be attentive to customer needs, including helpful knowledge of the Kensington Market area.
Pay rate is between $16-$18.00 depending on your skill set and experience.
We are looking to fill:
– A part-time position with 12 – 18 hours per week. Weekends are mandatory.
– A full-time position with 30 – 35 hours per week. Weekends are mandatory.
Main tasks:
– Answering customer questions in person or on the phone.
– Handling sales transactions through a POS system.
– Restocking the sales floor.
– Maintaining a clean and appealing retail environment.
Full time additional tasks
– Must have cash handling experience.
– Monitoring email account and answering questions.
– Fulfilling online orders.
– Managing product levels and publishing new products.
Physical demands:
– Standing for long periods of time.
– Climbing stairs, kneeling, walking quickly.
– Hearing and speaking.
– Seeing close at small details and at a distance as well.
– Reading, writing, typing.
– Lifting and carrying up to 15kg.
– We are currently wearing masks in the store to minimize staff downtime.
