THE MESSAGE
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop is a quote by Confucius,
a Chinese teacher, editor, and philosopher.
When it comes to goals, it’s not always necessary to put pressure on yourself to work quickly
or even have a specific goal at all. Give yourself permission to proceed at a pace that suits you best,
but remember to persevere when something unexpected gets in the way.

THE ARTIST
Ian Phillips is a Toronto-based illustrator whose work embodies a mix of contemporary and by-gone styles.
Ian depicts scenes in a playful aesthetic, with unexpected shapes creating joyful characters
with fuzzy textures and speckled half tones, reminiscent of old comic books and mid-century posters.
With a background in publishing, Ian has been fortunate to wear many hats in his career.
